What a Beagle is

Three ideas carry the whole product. Your organization is your company — the home for company-wide knowledge and your teammates. A Beagle is an AI agent you set up for a sales motion — a product line, a market segment — that holds its own knowledge and its own rooms. A room is a private space you share with one customer, where your Beagle answers their questions before you ever get on a call.

This guide takes you from a fresh account to a Beagle you’d be comfortable putting in front of a prospect.

Create your organization

Sign up and create your organization. Name it after your company — it’s what customers will see attached to every room you share. The organization is also where knowledge that’s true everywhere lives (more on that in a moment) and where you’ll invite teammates later.

Let the Platform Assistant drive

You don’t set up a Beagle with forms and settings pages. The Platform Assistant walks you through everything in conversation — name your Beagle, shape its personality, point it at what it should know. If you can describe your sales motion, you can set this up.

Give it a name and a personality

Two decisions worth thirty seconds of thought each:

  • Name it for the motion, not the mascot. “Enterprise EMEA” or “SMB self-serve” will scale better than “Rex” once you have three Beagles and a team using them.
  • Match the personality to how your team actually talks. If your best sellers are direct and technical, a chirpy Beagle will feel off-brand to the exact buyers you want to impress.

Attach your first knowledge

A Beagle with no knowledge is a very polite dog with nothing to fetch. Start with three to five documents at the organization level — the things every customer conversation eventually needs:

  • A product one-pager or overview deck
  • Your pricing structure
  • The security/compliance FAQ your team keeps re-answering

Organization-level knowledge flows down to every Beagle and every room automatically — load it once, never re-upload it. One knowledge base, three levels covers what belongs where.

Create your first room

  1. 1

    Open your Beagle

From your organization’s Beagles page, open the Beagle you just created.
  2. 2

Go to Rooms and create one

Open Rooms in the sidebar and create a room — or just tell the assistant “create a room.” Name it like a test deal.
  3. 3

    Understand the access model

A room is private by link: anyone signed in who has the room’s unguessable URL can walk in, and that’s the whole ceremony. No invitation emails, no guest accounts to provision.

Test-drive it as your own prospect

Before any customer sees a room, be your own worst prospect. Open the room and ask the questions a skeptical buyer would ask: How does pricing scale? What happens to our data? Why you and not the incumbent?

You’re listening for two things — where your Beagle is strong, and where it answers thinly because the knowledge just isn’t there yet. Thin answers are a to-do list, not a failure.
